National Association of German Food pantry

The national association of German Tafel connects and supports around 900 local Tafel initiatives. Volunteers in many cities and towns collect and distribute quality surplus food to people who do not have much money. We can however only distribute what receive as donations. We cannot completely take care of everyone’s food needs, but we do try to support people with groceries when possible. To learn more about how to register for food assistance or to learn more about donation and volunteer opportunities, you can search for the Tafel closest to you with your postal code (PLZ) on the Tafel website or in the Tafel-App. Then you can get in touch with your local Tafel to learn more about their capacity, hours of operation and what documents are required to register for food assistance.
